Essay Writing for Dummies |
Welcome, stranger! This is the anonymous club of essays for dummies. We know why you are here, so there is no need to explain. All of us have been here at least once in our lives. And all of us at least once in our lives wondered how to write an essay for dummies.
Writing essays for dummies does not mean writing dumb papers. We are just the club of people who already searched the web for writing tips and still do not get the entire picture of creating essays. This is why here is a step-by-step guide to writing essays for dummies.
- Find an idea and formulate the topic. This is the hardest part in essays for dummies. You have to find a topic that corresponds to the materials studied in class. You have to formulate it the right way, when it is neither too broad nor too narrow. You have to write a good title. Here comes the first hint on how to write essays for dummies – once you get the right angle to your story, you will be able to see the entire picture before even starting the essay.
- Research and make notes. Start with the books recommended in class. Examine both primary and secondary sources. To make the process of essay writing for dummies easier, here is a tip – if you meet good ideas while reading the sources, take notes. This will save your time later. Also, be sure to keep track of the materials read – for the List of References.
- Write an outline. It has to be detailed enough. Not only should list you the Introduction, Main Body, and Conclusion. You should make a detailed scheme of your facts and arguments, and distribute them evenly through the text.
- Write the first draft and edit. Based on the notes and the outline, write a text and edit it to finish your paper.
