Introduction

Since the beginning of the computer epoch, people were afraid that computers will grow to conquer their creators. Admired regards of computer’s future have been shaded by such a mysterious character, as Frankenstein. His creation, with his caution to Doctor Frankenstein, “you are my creator, but I am your master; obey!” We know how to make mechanisms help us, but are afraid we will not be capable to make them terminate assisting us. As computers have increased in their powers, they have also increased in obscurity, their functioning is turning to be ever more unclear to an average user. As computers turn to be ever more helpful, people are afraid to be obeyed to the computers. In relying on PCs, people are afraid of becoming reliant on them.

There are the examples how science and technology has assisted people that can be regarded in society today. One of the great instances is the cell phone. Ever since the creation of the telephone, community was insolvent of a more portable device that they could apply to talk to people. This high command for a new product led to the creation of the cell phone, which did, and still does, very much impact community and the manner people live their lives. Now lots of people are available to talk to whoever they wish no matter where any of the two people are.

Slavery from Technologies

We have turned to be a group of people that are almost entirely reliant on technology. People have been transformed into a cyber men like the joint of human and computers. The technologies that initially were aimed to be the aides to human subsistence have turned to be vital to the daily lives. Providentially, an almost festivity like ambiance was created. Nowadays, if PCs failed to work, stores would give away the spoilt food, bars would distribute the warmed beer, and people would have to get pleasure from the darkness in the streets and in their homes.

The reliance on technology is a two-edge blade. As any human tied to the house for substantial matters, the use of technologies becomes simple and essential than ever. People can work, do the shopping, and chat with mates all from the cosiness of the seat. If people go out, they observe that every teenager owns a cell phone and, actually, it is almost been surgically attached to him or her. They never seem to be anxious with the battery. When did even our children turn to be so significant that they must be in steady verbal contact twenty-four hours per a day? Cell phones, pagers, PDAs, and text messaging: almost everyone owns telecommunication gadgets.

People now seem to be walking communication stations. Nowadays our phones have not only to broadcast our voices, but we require images, photos, and games as well. There is an increasing tendency to combine the units that make our mid segments look like Batman’s tools belt. Some models of PDAs now have a built in cell phones and come with computing ability that puts most of the PCs to inferior classes. What was sci-fi just a few years before, is about to turn to be everyday life for the current generation.

Another sphere that has assisted to make technology addicts is the everyday junction of computing and home amusement. During the recent blackout lap tops had only about two hours of battery energy, and now portable computers offer up to 10 hrs of autonomous work, offering to play PC games, listening to music, watching video and downloading from internet.

The horror of being too dependent, nevertheless, is entirely diffident: a psychologist might call it protuberance. For naturally computers are not the hosts but they are ideal slaves. They act exactly as people tell them to. They perform only the missions they are expected without any initiative or upheaval. They are reliant on humans in any matter: commands, memory, and in the last examination, and power.

Conclusion

When having a closer regard at really how reliant people, as a general society, are so infatuated with our technology and in actuality how frightening it is how much people use this gadget to run almost every feature of our lives. People feel that we could not go out wherever, even right now, not find some straight correlation of knowledge impacting the path from A to B. People generally know that it may be a little insincere, but this paper was also written on a new laptop, and sent using the Wi-Fi connection, in an instant without any individual interaction or genuineness.

Living in a technological epoch, if someone tried to live without technologies, it would definitely be difficult. Not that it would be difficult to live without the PCs, phones and so on themselves, but because most institutions and well arranged structures would not be able to work without them.
